You insert the ear candle through a hole paper plate, or a aluminum pie plate works well also, have the person lie on his or her side and gently insert the tapered end into the ear. Light the large end and allow it to burn down about an inch or so, cutting off a half an inch of the ash at a time as the candle burns down.
Window candles are the electric candles that are usually seen around the Christmas holiday sitting in windows as part of the holiday decor.
