Candles

There is nothing in the world like the soft light of candles to give the cozy ambience of homeliness, romance, calmness, or any mood one desires to a room. Depending on your personal preferences, or needs, the selection available is vast and varied. Lets look at a few of the types available.

There are the popular Yankee candles available in a variety of scents to please every nose. These particular candles come in the candy jar style to decorated shot-glass type of candles. Whatever type, or style, you prefer, a Yankee candle is sure to please.

Now on the market are battery operated candles; Also known as 'flameless candles'. These candles are made of real wax, scented or unscented, but do not use a real flame. They will last practically forever and are extremely safe. One merely inserts the battery into the bottom and turns it on. The light gives a flicker like a real flame. You can use them near books, pets, plants, children, in your bathroom, bedroom, or anywhere you desire the soft light of a candle without the danger of fire.

Christians generally use Advent candles in an Advent wreath during the season of Advent. A candle is lit each successive Sunday until Christmas. The candles are usually purple in color, although sometimes white, blue, or rose colored candles are used.

Candle warmers are items in which the small tealight candles are used to gently heat scented oil, potpourri, or simmer stones. They come in a wide variety of styles to suit every taste. A candle warmer is a great way to softly scent your home if you prefer oils, potpourri, or whatever suits you, instead of scented candles.

Ear candles aren't candles for burning in your home, but are used to gently help remove wax build up in the ears. They are hollow, tapered cones ranging from 1/2" to 5/8" in diameter and taper to a "point". You insert the ear candle through a hole paper plate, or a aluminum pie plate works well also, have the person lie on his or her side and gently insert the tapered end into the ear. Light the large end and allow it to burn down about an inch or so, cutting off a half an inch of the ash at a time as the candle burns down.

Window candles are the electric candles that are usually seen around the Christmas holiday sitting in windows as part of the holiday decor.
You can find these types of 'candles' in singles or in the sort of candelabra style.

If you own a business that sells candles as part of your inventory then buying your candles wholesale is a great option. Wholesale candles can be bought in bulk quantities at lower prices.

If you are a candle lover, then there is a whole world of options out there for you. Candles can be bought in just about every store in any town, and candles will add beauty and elegance to any room in you your home, sooth and calm your mind, and help set the mood for a quiet, romantic evening.
